Starting this fall, both middle and high schools are launching dedicated Advisory periods to provide targeted academic and social-emotional support for all students. During this time, students will receive intervention, enrichment, or connection based on their individual needs.

To support this flexible approach, schools will use RTIScheduler, a new scheduling tool that allows staff to group and support students in real time. As the rollout continues this fall, more information will be shared with families.

This initiative aligns with the district’s work in building Professional Learning Communities (PLCs)—a proven model focused on improving student outcomes through collaboration, data-driven decisions, and shared responsibility. PLCs help schools move from isolated teaching to team-based problem-solving, ensuring every student gets the right support at the right time.

At the elementary level, this work is already in place through a dedicated Tier II support period, where students receive small-group instruction based on their needs. Advisory at the secondary level mirrors this approach, creating a consistent, districtwide system to support all learners.

As staff across all schools continue to collaborate, analyze student data, and implement targeted supports, our shared goal remains clear: high levels of learning for all students.

More details will be shared with families as Advisory and RTIScheduler are fully implemented
