NYS ELA testing update grades 3-5:
Dear Parents and Caregivers,
I wanted to inform you that the Nextera Questar computer system used for state testing was unfortunately down today, and we were unable to complete Day 2 of the ELA state testing as planned. This issue was related to the testing platform and was beyond our control.
We plan to administer Day 2 of the ELA testing tomorrow (4/30) instead. Thank you for your understanding and flexibility.
Join us for some fun this Friday April 24th at Cohen Elementary School for favorite baseball or softball team day!
As a result of the relatively mild winter we will be updating our school calendar for the balance of the school year. Provided we do not need to use Emergency Days for the rest of the school year we will make the following adaptations to the school calendar.

Two Hour Delay Start Time :
9:35 AM: student drop-off begins for all students
Pre-K-5 bus pick-up times are approximately 2 hours
later than normal times.
No breakfast will be served

beginning at 9:35 a.m.

Pre-K parents with students in other
elementary grade levels can drop-off their
children at the Pre-K entrance on
two-hour delay days only.
PFO Spring Fling Cancellation:
The 3/27 PFO Spring Fling event will be cancelled. They are using this time to focus on the end of the year Cohen Carnival. Thank you!

Dental Services are coming to Cohen Elementary!
The dental program will visit the school for a limited amount of time based on student enrollment. Please be sure to complete your student’s enrollment form promptly in order for your student to be seen if you are interested in participation.
