Harvest Parade-Family Information

Cohen Families are cordially invited to view our Harvest Parade on Friday, October 31st at 9:45AM. Please follow these guidelines:
Reminder: this is a half day of school. We will begin our dismissal at 10:45AM (K-5th) and 10:30AM (Pre-K).

Students will be out shortly after the conclusion of the parade for dismissal. We will not be allowing office pick-ups after the parade. Students can be dismissed as walkers to the playground for pick-up at 10:45 or parents/caregivers can wait for their child’s classroom to dismiss shortly thereafter. Please update your child’s teacher if they are having an alternate dismissal plan. We appreciate your attention to this matter as this will help us run this event safely and efficiently.

Teachers have already contacted parent helpers to assist with the party. If you were not contacted this time and are on the approved volunteer list, know that there will be future opportunities where the teacher may need your assistance.

Students are not to wear costumes to school. Costumes should be brought to school in a bag labeled by name, grade and teacher. Masks can be worn only during the parade. Costumes depicting violent themes are not permitted. Costume props such as knives, swords, guns, axes, liquid blood etc., must be left at home.

THE PARADE IS FOR GRADES PRE-K through 5th.

🚒 Fire Safety with the Elmira Heights Fire Department
Our PreK and Kindergarten students had a special visit from the Elmira Heights Fire Department! The children learned important fire safety tips, met real firefighters, and even had the chance to explore the fire truck up close. Experiences like this help our youngest learners understand how to stay safe while building connections with the community heroes who protect us every day.
