Thank You to Our Local Canine Units! We’d like to extend a big thank you to the dedicated canine units from Chemung and surrounding sheriff departments for participating in a training exercise today at Thomas A. Edison High School and Cohen Middle School. This collaborative effort supports both the ongoing training of these incredible teams and reinforces key elements of our school district safety plans. Today’s visit was focused solely on training—not a social event—and no students were present in the areas where the dogs and handlers were working. We are incredibly grateful for the work these professionals do every day to help keep our schools and communities safe. Thank you—and stay safe out there! #SchoolSafety #CommunitySupport #ThankYouK9s

This week, the Science Club was lucky to have Tanglewood Nature Center visit CMS and bring some of their friends. Kids had the opportunity to see and ask questions about the animals that came to visit, including a Madagascar Hissing Cockroach, Box Turtle, Cane Toad, Ferrett, Milk Snake, and Great Horned Owl. Thank you Tanglewood for coming to CMS, bringing some friends, and hanging out with our Science Club!
